A persistent winter and a soggy spring will delay the start of the 2014 season at Plymouth Speedway.

Practice at the dirt oval will be Saturday, April 19 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the first race night Saturday, April 26. Gates will open at 3 p.m. and practice will begin at 5 p.m. Racing begins at 6 p.m. ET.

Plymouth Speedway officials say the move is in the best interest of the fans and this will also allow the track a little more time to dry. Plus, the chill may leave the air by the time the green flag drops on April 26.

Join us for the start of the new dirt season on April 26 where four different classes of racing will be featured: UMP Modifieds, 600 Open Sprints, Thunder Stocks and Super Streets. Find out what everybody’s talking about!
