INDIANAPOLIS (March 5, 2014) – Ben Cantu of Hobart can thank his wife, Jill, for a sizable win that will have a big impact on their family. The couple’s excitement filled the room when they walked into Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis on Monday to claim a $2 million top prize on the 100X the Cash game.

Ben Cantu 283  While Cantu bought the winning ticket, he has his wife to thank for urging him to purchase the $20 ticket after winning $100 on a $10 ticket earlier in the day. After splurging on a nice dinner with their winnings, Jill Cantu insisted they treat themselves to a $20 ticket for dessert, which they purchased at the Super Gas Express on 7995 East 37th Ave. in Hobart, Indiana.

“At first she thought we had won $200,000 and that amount was still unbelievable,” Bill Cantu explained. “I don’t expect this to change our lives much, but I want to get my wife a nice home.”

The Lake County man is a proud member of Operating Engineers Union, Local 150. He and his wife also plan to take their three children ages 7, 11 and 14 on a special trip to Disneyland.

Four additional top prizes of $2 million are unclaimed on the 100X the Cash game at this time.
