01/30/14 PLYMOUTH – On Friday night, January 31, the Northern Lakes Conference will present Mrs. Mary Beth Hunter with the NLC Service Award.

In Mary Beth’s 33 year career at Plymouth High School, she held positions (varying years) as both Girls’ and Boys’ Tennis Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and Athletic Secretary. Mary Beth exhibited a tireless commitment and loyalty to our student athletes, staff, and programs.

Mary Beth’s NLC career athletic contributions include:

-20 years as Head Girls Tennis Coach

-12 years as Head Boys Tennis Coach

-10 years as Assistant Athletic Director

-26 years as Athletic Secretary

-30+ years as City Tennis Director

Mary Beth was inducted into the Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame in 1995. In 2009, Mary Beth received the Marian Archer Memorial Award from the ICGSA as an advocate for women’s sports in Indiana.

Mary Beth will be presented this award by P.H.S. principal, Mr. Jim Condon and Assistant Athletic Director, Mr. John Scott. The presentation will be made prior to our varsity boys’ basketball game between Northridge H.S. and Plymouth H.S.
