11/05/13  On Friday, November 1st at 3:15 p.m. Plymouth Police Officer Benjamin McIntyre responded to Michigan Road in reference to an erratic driver in a black, GMC Jimmy.  The officer located the vehicle at Monroe and Michigan Streets and proceeded to follow the driver to Michigan and Jefferson where the vehicle run the red light.  A traffic stop was initiated at Michigan and Adams Streets and the driver was identified as 36 year old Kristy A. Reed of Gary.  She appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance and was transported to Saint Joseph Regional where she tested positive for a controlled substance. Reed was later transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on charges of operating while under the influence of a controlled substance and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering another person.  He bond was set at $3,005 cash.

Later Friday night at 8:56 p.m. Officer Bridget Hite responded to Wal-Mart for a female shoplifter that had stolen several products from the store.   25 year old Teri L. Vaughan of Walkerton was taken into custody for theft and transported to the County Jail where she was held on a $1,505 bond.  Vaughan was released the next day after posting bond and received a Superior Court I date to appear on November 26th.

On Saturday, November 2nd at 1:17 a.m. Officer Chris Miller conducted a traffic stop on North Oak Road in the Maxx Inc. parking lot for a vehicle with no headlights.  During the course of the investigation the driver was identified as 19 year old Katrina M. Collins of Plymouth.  She was found to be operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license and was held on a $255 bond.  The two male passengers in the vehicle, 18 year old Stephen A. Bishop of Plymouth was found to have an active warrant through Marshall County for failure to appear on a felony charge and held on no bond.  The other male, 19 year old Brandon S. Price of Plymouth had two active warrants through Marshall County for failure to appear for court costs and fines with a bond of $98.00 and a failure to appear on a probation violation with no bond.  All three subjects were transported to the Marshall County Jail.   Collins was released later that day after posting bond and received a Superior Court II date to appear on December 3rd.

On Sunday, November 3rd at 1:31 a.m. Officer Ryan Richey assisted by other Plymouth Officers responded to the Plymouth Armory located at 1220 West Madison Street in reference to an intoxicated male.  Officer Richey located 21 year old Michael P. Merriman of Rochester walking into the Armory parking lot.  After further investigation Mr. Merriman was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement and battery resulting in bodily injury to law enforcement. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $3,005 bond.
