8th Grade Volleyball results

On Saturday the 8th grade Red Storm volleyball team played in the Indian Springs Invitational.  The team breezed through pool play defeating the following teams:

Riverview:  25-9, 25-20

Dekalb:  25-8, 25-10

Indian Springs Eagles:  25-5, 25-20

They advanced to the championship match against Ft. Wayne Leo.  The team played hard but came up short against a very tall and talented opponent.  Scores for the match were 25-24, 26-15, 12-15.

Leaders for the tournament were:

Setting : Bailey Eveland and Kendall Rhodes

Hitting:  Kenzie Quissell, Alli Andrews, and Kenzie Scheetz

Passing:  Alexis McVicker, Kenzie Scheetz, and Leah Smith

Serving:   Kendall Rhodes,  Alli Andrews, and Kenzie Scheetz with an impressive 36 aces.

The team ended the day with a  record of 12 and 1 for the season.

Last night the team hosted Rochester.  Both teams came into the match with one loss each for the season.  Lincoln’s Red Storm won the battle 25-18, 25-18.  Leaders for the match were:

Hitting:  Kenzie Scheetz, Kenzie Quissell, Alli Andrews, and Bailey Evelant

Passing:  Kirsten Nault, Kenzie Quissell
