03/04/13 Plymouth Speedway is proud to announce the annual Cabin Fever event April 12-13, 2013. This year they have added a little twist . . . about 12 inches of Indiana clay on top of the asphalt and there will be racing on the dirt for the 2013 season and beyond!
Indiana’s newest dirt racing facility and the only facility in Indiana that can boast not only a 3/8 mile semi-banked dirt track but also a 1/5 semi-banked dirt bullring oval in the infield. Plymouth Speedway is bringing dirt racing back to Northern Indiana!
April 12-13, the Cabin Fever will host 6 divisions of racing: UMP Late Models, Shepherd’s Chevy UMP Modifieds, Super Street, Thunder Stock, USAC 600 nonwing sprints, and USAC 600 restricted winged sprints. On the big and fast 3/8 mile oval, watch some of the area’s best Late Model, Modified, Super Street, and Thunder Stock divisions battle it out for the inaugural Cabin Fever dirt championship. On the wide and quick 1/5 mile dirt bullring, watch the prestigious USAC sanctioned 600cc nonwing sprint cars race wheel to wheel as well as the USAC sanctioned young and old beginner division of 600cc restricted wing sprint cars to see who will lift the champion’s trophy.
Friday April 12th event will start with hot laps at 5:30pm, Qualifying at 7:30pm, with Racing starting at 9:00pm. Friday’s event will feature a 10 lap Shootout for cash in each division. Right after the last checkered flag falls, you’re invited to join uthem for the huge hog roast with special guest country music singer Autumn Leeds, Northern Indiana’s newest rising star!
Saturday April 13th will be a full show of racing with hot laps starting early at 1pm with heat races to follow at 3pm. Watch all 6 divisions compete in heat races, consolation races, and full feature events. Plymouth Speedway is expecting over 300 side-by-side laps of racing on both tracks. Feature winners to receive special Cabin Fever champion trophies!
