BENTON HARBOR, MI – The Lady Chargers basketball team lost a conference game Friday 86-53 to Lake Michigan College who was currently ranked in the top 10 nationally.  The Lady Chargers are now 3-17 in regular season play and 0-11 MCCAA.

Coach Beason stated, “I think we had great effort in the first half as we were tied up at halftime at 30.  In the second half we started to wear down from three games in five days with only five players.  We really need to focus on cherishing the basketball.  Our opponents are getting a lot more shots than we are and our turnovers have a huge part in that.”

Top performances were turned in from Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) with 24 points and 10 rebounds while Brittany Himes (Plymouth, IN) added 14 points.  Hope Wagner (Knox, IN) contributed 12 points, and Kristen Trudell (Horton, MI) grabbed 9 rebounds for the Lady Chargers.
