The Argos girls’ bowling team finished third at the team sectional on January 26th to advance to the regionals at Michigan City on February 2nd.  Argos finished with a total pin count of 2,260 to Penn’s 2,339 and South Bend Clay’s 2,366.  The Argos girls then lost to Penn in the stepladder round 281 to 374.  Bowling for the ladies were Brittani Brown, Chelsea Bradley, Liz Hack, Abby Cohagan and Jamie Ewing.  Also part of the team is Jina Ewing but she did not compete in the team event due to illness.

In singles competition, Argos once again had the champion.  In 2012 Abby Cohagan won and in 2013 Jamie Ewing won.  Jamie was seeded first going into the stepladder competition by shooting a 578 in the first three games.  In the stepladder competition she faced fourth-seeded Ashley Higdon from South Bend, and Ewing defeated Higdon 166-162.  Ewing will go on to compete in the singles competition Saturday in Michigan City on February 2.  No other lady Dragon advanced to the singles competition. Singles placings were Cohagan 19th, Hack 29th, Bradley 55th, and Brown 58th.

Ewing was also named to the Michiana West 1st team all conference.  Jina Ewing was named to second team all conference.  Abby Cohagan was named honorable mention all conference.

The Argos boys’ bowling team finished their season by placing 11th in the team event.  No Argos boys advanced in the singles competition.  Singles placings were Noah Duff 54th, Landon West 56th, Brian Boberg 57th, and Tyler Nelson 59th.
