03/30/12 Ms. Tammye Trevino, the National Administrator for Housing and Community Facilities Programs in the USDA Rural Development was in Plymouth this week to see the Community Resource Center.

Ms. Trevino’s purpose was to visit projects and facilities that are funded under the programs she administrates.   The Community Resource Center in Plymouth received a total of 2.7 million dollars in funding from USDA Rural Development, 2.3 million of which was ARRA funding.

Her visit to the project was hosted by Rev. Ron Liechty, President of the Community Resource Center Board of Directors.

The Rural Development Division of the US Department of Agriculture Community and Economic Development programs assist communities to realize their long-term goals through provision of technical assistance and grants that support strategic planning and community visioning in order to provide a foundation for economic development

The Community Resource Center of Marshall County is a project that will co-locate multiple human service agencies serving Marshall County.   The project is located at 510 Adams Street, Plymouth, Indiana.

Trevino was joined by Mr. Lehmkuhler, the Indiana State Director of USDA Rural Development.
