Grandperson or VIP Day was a great day at Triton Elementary where over 500 guests joined Triton Elementary School students for lunch and snapshot of the students classrooms and learning environments.
Superintendent Donna Burroughs said, “I am so proud of our Triton Elementary School students and staff as they displayed Trojan Pride by showing outstanding hospitality and customer service.” She also said, “Thank you grandparents and VIP’s for your support of Triton Elementary School and our many academics and extracurricular programs!”

During Grandperson’s Day, students in Mrs. Brosman’s fifth grade class at Triton Elementary showed their VIPs some of the digital literacy they use in class. Pictured are Olivia Whitehurst, Sydney Scarberry, and Ashlyn Hurt.
Fifth grade Students also enjoyed racing their VIP in a timed test. Students in photo are Chandler Westafer, Chase King, Lilee Stetzel, and Lacee Yeager.
Students at Triton Jr.-Sr. High School enjoyed performing for their special guests at the annual Grandpersons/ VIP Day on Friday, October 9th. The High School Band and High School Choir performed in the auditorium for the guests.
The FFA Chapter at Triton then provided a special lunch for the students’ guests and the staff.
Sixth grade Science students in Teresa Watkins class at Triton Elementary School shared their Design Journals, States of Matter models and completed a Density answer page with their VIP visitors. They also enjoyed the book store, lunch and recess. Pictured is sixth grade student Valerie Eib and her VIP special guests!
