On Tuesday, April 30th, at 9:37 p.m. a Marshall County Deputy witnessed a white GMC truck make an illegal left turn on a red light at U.S. 30 and King Road. The truck was stopped on 9A Road east of King Road.

The driver was identified as 56-year-old Paul W. Bragg of Iris Road in Plymouth.  The officer found that Bragg had been drinking. He was given field sobriety tests and a certified breath test that showed his breath at .143%.

Paul Bragg was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, booked into the jail, and held on a $1500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
