Bourbon Police & Town Council Donates Tazers to Reserves

January 23, 2012

01/24/12   The Bourbon Town Council and Bourbon Police Department recently donated three Tazers to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Reserve.  Tazers average about $800 each with refill cartridges costing about $20 each.

The Marshall County Reserve Unit depends mostly on donations and fundraisers for equipment needed to serve the community.   They recently purchased 20 new weapons matching those utilized by full time officers and will need to replace several bullet proof vests in the near future.

Anyone wishing to donate can contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, select the phone extension for the Reserves and leave a message.
