Swan Lake Resort Announce New Executive Chef

Swan Lake Resort is excited to announce the appointment of its new Executive Chef, Greg Schiesser. He will oversee culinary direction for Dickies Restaurant and Putter’s Bar & Grille, as well as hotel catering and private events.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Chef Greg Schiesser to Swan Lake,” said Kevin Smith, general manager at Swan Lake Resort. “He possesses an incredible mixture of experience, leadership, and creativity; His wealth of experience will be coupled with our ongoing commitment to providing our guests with extraordinary dining experiences, highlighted by well balanced, local ingredients.”

Chef Schiesser brings more than 17 years of culinary experience to his position at the Swan Lake Resort. Schiesser was most recently serving as Executive Chef Wyndham Resorts in Indianpolis, where he oversaw three resturants along with banquets and catering for a 40,000- square-  foot event space. Prior to Wyndham, he was Executive Chef at Indiana Downs in Shelbyville, Indiana. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his cooking including Indiana Taste of Elegance “Chef Par Excellence” 1st Place, Greater Indianapolis Chili Challenge 1st Place, Indiana Taste of Elegance ” Peoples Choice Award”, Indiana State Fair 1st Place “Pork Burger”, Featured Chef at ” Bull BBQ Battle” World

Food Championships, and Honorary Judge at the Indiana State Fair BBQ Competition.
