WTCA has been able to confirm that Alyssa Tapia, the 14 year old run-a-way from Plymouth has been located in Houston, Texas.
About 7:30 p.m. Wednesday her family received a tip on her location. They notified Detective Leo Mangus with the Plymouth Police Department who notified Harris County Police. They were able to locate the pair about 8 p.m.
Tapia’s family is making arrangements to get her back to Plymouth and Rigoberto Calix-Reyes is in custody on an emergency hold. The Plymouth Police Department will seek extradition for Calix-Reyes.
Detective Mangus anticipates charging Calix-Reyes with sexual misconduct with a minor, forgery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The Plymouth Police Department will be releasing additional information Monday morning.
