01/17/13 Marshall County was well represented by the young ladies who were crowned Miss Plymouth.

The Marshall County Museum staff plans an exhibit on the Miss Plymouth Pageants to open sometime in 2013 but they need the community’s help.  They are looking for items to be donated that relate to this pageant, which was a launching point for young women who could then compete for Miss Indiana.

For 30 years, Plymouth has a strong program and support team for these young ladies.  Tommye Lou Glaze, Pan Carlberg, and Frances Burgen, among other, have donated items to the archives that will be on display but more items are needed.

If you are interested in donating or loaning items like gowns, costumes, or other memorabilia, please contact Liz Garza at the Marshall County Museum.  They are also seeking contact information on the former Miss Plymouths.  If you have information please contact the museum and share names and current addresses, so the staff can contact each of them regarding the new display.
