11/15/12 On Sunday, November 11th at 3:18 AM Officer Nicholas Laffoon with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on West Shore Drive near the public access site of Lake of the Woods for a registration violation. The driver, 44 year old Cynthia A. Gaines of Bremen was found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated and had a 13 year old child in the vehicle. Gaines was detained at the scene and later failed a certified chemical test and was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in on a $1,505 bond for operating with a BAC of .15 or more with a prior charge and OWI endangering a person under the age of 18.
