10/08/10 The What’s Your Opinion Show on WTCA will host a fundraiser for the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation on Friday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.

Mark Neidig, a 1978 graduate of Plymouth High School was hired a year ago as the Executive Director of the Foundation.  Mark will be on the radio helping to “Spread the Wave” and discuss what this invention is all about and how things are progressing from testing on animals to the human trials.

This unique cancer treatment uses radio waves to kill the cancer cells with NO side-effects.

The event on Friday will include a radio-thon where listeners will be urged to call in and make donations to the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation in memory of a loved one or friend whose battle with cancer was just too much for them to survive.  You can also donate in honor of someone who beat this dreaded disease.

Along with the radio-thon WTCA will be asking callers to call in on the air and talk about their experiences with cancer, either their personal battle or that of a family member or friend.

We will also be conducting a radio auction.  We have a number of items that have been donated by the businesses in this wonderful community we live in.  We will list off a number of items each half hour to auction off with all proceeds being donated to the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation.

Items that will be on the auction block include a case of Coca-Cola product each month for a year and a case of bottled water each month for a year.  There are a number of beautiful mums, a gorgeous breast cancer necklace, several hair care products, some fabulous decorations for your home or office, certificates for food, a couple of car details and tows, a gas card, a Notre Dame banner, Italian Dinner and even hauling of 10 tons of limestone.  This isn’t everything we have lots more so tune in.

We have all been touched by cancer in one way or another.  Whether it was someone in your family, a co-worker, classmate, friend, neighbor or maybe even yourself, we know the terrible treatments those who have battled this devastating disease have had to endure.

Please plan on listening from 9 a.m. to noon for and help Mark’s hometown raise money this worthwhile cause.
