11/02/11 The September Activity Report for the Plymouth Police Department has 930 calls for information while traffic stops were second on the list with 299.  City officers handles 278 complaints, responded to 201 9-1-1 calls, signed 117 charges, and conducted 102 security checks.

Plymouth Police made 49 criminal arrests in September and 48 traffic arrests.  Officers responded to 40 alarms, conduced 37 vehicle checks, issued 34 $2 parking tickets, had 33 parking enforcements, and assisted other departments 31 times.

During September Plymouth Police checked 28 suspicious vehicles and 28 suspicious persons, issued 28 traffic warnings, investigated 20 juvenile complaints and completed 20 theft reports, along with serving 17 warrants, read 15 restraining orders, and used the City’s K9 Rex 12 times.

Last month City officers did 7 welfare checks, helped 6 locked-out vehicles, located 6 open door and or windows, enacted the Merchant Protection Plan 5 times, responded to 5 domestic fights, issued 3 $10 parking tickets and investigated 1 personal injury accident.

The Plymouth Fire Department responded to 204 alarms in September.  Fire alarm situations included 152 emergency medical incidents, 13 times they were cancelled in route, 10 medical assists, 5 false alarms, 3 time to cover or stand by at other fire stations, 3 good intent calls, 3 structure fires, 2 excessive heat or scorch burns, 2 system or detector malfunctions, and 2 unintentional system operations.  Emergency responders had 1 wrong location, 1 special outside fire, 1 smoke problem, 1 rescue call, 1 public service assistance, 1 outdoor rubbish fire, and 1 vehicle fire, 1 combustible spill and 1 electrical wiring problem.

The 204 fire calls in September were divided throughout the county.  142 were in Plymouth, 30 in West Township, 21 in Center Township, 3 assists to Culver and 4 to LaPaz, and one each in Argos, Walkerton, Polk and one other.
