The Marshall County Commissioners will unveil a memorial to former Sheriff Thomas G. Chamberlin on Friday.
Family members, friends, and citizens of Marshall County are welcome to attend a short dedication ceremony at 12:30 on Friday at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, 1400 Pioneer Drive. Chamberlin passed away 7 yeas ago.
Chamberlin served the citizens of Marshall County as Sheriff from January 1, 2011, until August 28, 2015, when cancer took him. Chamberlin also served the citizens of Plymouth as a police officer and Police Chief as well as Marshall County residents as a County Commissioner.
The monument is placed at the bottom of a Tulip, planted several years ago to honor the former sheriff by Commissioner Kevin Overmyer. The memorial was purchased by the Marshall County Building and Grounds Department.
