eagle scout project_Stauffer_3Daniel Stauffer’s Eagle Scout project has created a new sign and parking area for the Marshall County Memorial Forest.

Eagle Scout Project_Stauffer_2Stauffer said, “A living monument to those who have served, these 80 acres was the trailblazing first memorial conservation forest planted in Indiana. The new sign tells the story of the beginnings of the Memorial Forest and the servicemen and women it honors.”

Eagle Scout Project_Stauffer_1The Marshall County Community Foundation provided a grant from the Community Fund to support Daniel’s project. “I hope my work helps make more people aware of this special place and the great trails you can hike here,” Daniel said.

“Veteran’s Day was the perfect day to celebrate the completion of my Eagle Scout project. It’s an honor to have veterans here with us today,” said Daniel.
