Tuesday evening the Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals approved the setback request of Tiny Enterprises, Rick Miller for the new Zone project on the north side of VanVactor Drive.
Doug McComb, engineer for the project showed the design layout that includes two indoor soccer fields along the north side of the property, an outdoor soccer filed along Pioneer Drive and two outdoor beach volleyball courts along with a large parking lot.
Because of the industrial zoning, the property requires a 50 foot setback. The request from Miller was for a 25 foot setback to allow for the complete project.
The city BZA also granted a variance of use for Joshua and Allison Stone at 7225 to allow 4H farm animals and horses on the 5 acre parcel. The Stones are selling the home and barn that sit in the city’s 2-mile zoning district and several interested parties have asked about having animals on the property.
The Plymouth Plan Commission discussed proposed changes to the sign standards. A public hearing will be conducted at their March meeting for the changes.
