warmupmarshallcounty2016_1The 18th Annual Warm Up Marshall County coat distribution program had an excellent response from the community this year with donations of hundreds of coats including new and used.

Founder Steve Keiser, from Oliver Ford said, “Over 500 coats were donated to the program in just about a months’ time.”  Not only a great supply of gently used coats were donated but over 200 new coats were purchased for the event.

warmupmarshallcounty2016_2Not only did those in need got to select a good coat to help keep them warm this winter season, they also got a hat and gloves provided by Plymouth FOP Lodge 195 and the Hoosier Old Wheels.

warmupmarshallcounty2016_4Distribution of the coats was held at the National Guard Armory in Plymouth.  On Saturday hundreds starting lining up at 9 a.m. for the 10 a.m. distribution and when the doors opened, members of the DAV and Steve Keiser from Oliver Ford assisted families in helping them look for the right size coats.

warmupmarshallcounty2016_3Coats distribution will continue on Sunday from noon till 2.

Any coats left over will be donated on to another worthy cause, the Neighborhood Center.
