Friday evening, April 12th, at approximately 7:45, Marshall County Police and Plymouth Police Officers were informed of a Flock Camera notification, identifying the vehicle’s registered owner as having a driving status of a Habitual Traffic Violator. The Flock Cameras are a fixed, pole-mounted license plate reader camera system. This system captures the rear image of a car and the car’s license plate number.
The vehicle was located near Michigan Street and U.S. 30, and the driver was identified as Justin Rostron, 33 of Huntington. Officer Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department determined his license status as a Habitual Traffic Violator.
Justin Rostron was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked in the jail and issued a court date and cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
