Kevin Demming, Project Supervisor from Rieth-Riley Construction and Jim Marquardt Plymouth’s Street Superintendent have sent a letter to businesses and property owners that will be impacted by the upcoming street improvement project on the city’s northwest side.

The City of Plymouth has contracted with Rieth-Riley Construction Company to reconstruct Commerce Street, Pioneer Drive, and Gary Drive. Construction is expected to begin on or after Monday, April 22 with an anticipated completion date of late May or early June, depending on the weather.

This project includes the complete removal and replacement of Commerce Drive and Pioneer Drive from U.S. 30 north to Gary Drive. Gary Drive will be milled and repaved with asphalt.

Starting Monday, April 22 Commerce Drive will be closed to thru traffic. Construction on Commerce Drive is anticiipated to take about a week. Also starting on Monday, April 22, Pioneer Drive will be narrowed and reduced to one lane in each direction.
