Jeanelle F. Mort, age 84, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Ernestine M. Raclin House of Mishawaka, IN.
Jeanelle was born to McKinley and Faye (Campbell) Land on July 4, 1939 in Marquette, NE. She was a resident of Plymouth most of her life. She previously married Henry Britton. She then married Kenneth D. Mort on September 4, 1987, and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2019. She worked cleaning homes and offices. She enjoyed watching cats and television, working on puzzle books, and doing crafts.
Jeanelle is survived by her daughters: Ellen Diedrich of Plymouth, IN; Tina (Keith) Duff of Plymouth, IN; her sons: Terry Britton of Nebraska; “Pete” Parris McKinley Britton of Fort Worth, TX; her 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters: Maxine Beckstrom of Nebraska; and Patricia (Frank) Gottuso of Ohio.
Jeanelle is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; her sons: Larry Britton; Henry Britton, Jr. and one great-grandchild.
Cremation has been chosen and a graveside service will be planned at a later date.
