Maria A. Maurer, age 53 of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka, IN.
Maria was born on May 16, 1970 to Cayetano and Elizabeth B. (Costilla) Olivarez in Mercedes, TX. She received an associate degree in business management from Ancilla College. She married Richard Maurer, and he preceded her in death in November of 2019. She worked as a bookkeeper at Countrywide Home Loans of Orlando FL. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching baseball, classic movies, the Andy Griffith Show, food, traveling, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, friends, and family.
Maria is survived by her father, Cayetano Olivarez; her daughters: Alexis Maurer (Fiancé, Angel Ulloa) of Plymouth, IN; Kali (Joseph) Saracco of Lima OH; her son, Gregory (Aly) Maurer of Jacksonville, FL; her brothers: Cayetano (Kathy) Olivarez Jr., of Plymouth, IN; Mike (Kim) Olivarez of Plymouth, IN; Samuel (Sara) Olivarez of Plymouth, IN; Anthony Olivarez (Fiancé, Kathy Siefert) of Valparaiso, IN; and her grandchildren: Mikie Saracco; Anthony Saracco; and Espen Saracco.
Maria was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Olivarez and her brother, Frank Olivarez.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church (612 N. Walnut St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
Funeral Mass will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Father Keeton Lockwood presiding.
