Phillip Lee Garrison, July 21, 1934 – May 4, 2023
On Thursday, May 4th, 2023, 88 year old, Phillip L. Garrison passed away at home with his family. Phillip was born on July 21, 1934, to Jesse H. and Mary K. (Bonnell) Garrison in Plymouth. He graduated from Plymouth High school in 1952. On July 20, 1957, he married Kay Rhoades. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959.
Phillip was a quiet man who loved tinkering with old cars, especially his 1932 Ford and 1969 Firebird. He loved sports, the Chicago Whites Sox, and Plymouth High School basketball, being a season ticket holder for 50 years. He also loved camping and fishing. He was a carpenter and built his own home.
Phillip worked for McCord’s for 30 years and then did maintenance for the Garden Court Apts. Until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kay; daughter, Melinda Garrison of Plymouth; son, Stephen Garrison of Nashville, Tenn.; grandsons Brandon Moyer and Kalem Linvill both of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kerri and both his parents.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth is handling the arrangements.
