Plymouth Pilgrims Freshman fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-5 loss to Concord on Tuesday.  Concord scored on a groundout by #21, a single by #33, and an passed ball during #14’s at bat in the second inning.

Concord knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning.  An error scored one run for Concord.

After Plymouth Pilgrims Freshman scored one run in the top of the fourth, Concord answered with one of their own.  Plymouth Pilgrims Freshman scored when Grady Metsker singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.  Concord then answered when #14 lined out, driving in a run.

Concord pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning.  In the second #21 grounded out, scoring one run, #33 singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs, and an error scored three runs for Concord.

#21 earned the victory on the hill for Concord. The ace allowed seven hits and three runs over four innings, striking out three and walking zero.  #25 and #33 entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Aiden Sauer took the loss for Plymouth Pilgrims Freshman. The bulldog allowed three hits and seven runs over two and a third innings, striking out two.

Plymouth Pilgrims Freshman racked up 11 hits on the day.  Metsker and Owen Walleske all managed multiple hits for Plymouth Pilgrims Freshman.  Metsker went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Plymouth Pilgrims Freshman in hits.

#33 led Concord with three hits in four at bats.  Concord stole eight bases during the game as three players stole more than one. #30 led the way with two.
