Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-3 loss to Goshen on Monday.  Goshen scored on a fielder’s choice by #22 in the first inning, a double by #14 in the second inning, and a stolen base in the second inning.

The Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Goshen, giving up 12 runs.

In the first inning, Goshen got their offense started when Nick Manzuk induced #22 to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Goshen scored five runs in the fifth inning.  Goshen big bats were led by #44, #15,  #30, and #22, all knocking in runs in the inning.

#22 was the winning pitcher for Goshen. undefined allowed four hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out nine.

Manzuk took the loss for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 runs on eight hits and striking out five.

Parker Wolfe, Cooper Grolich, Austin Price, and Zach Atkins all had one hit to lead Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims.

Goshen racked up ten hits.  #15, #24, and #3 each had multiple hits for Goshen.  Goshen was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. #24 had the most chances in the field with 11.  #15 led Goshen with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 13 stolen bases.
