The National Weather Service in North Webster has issued a “Winter Storm Watch” from late Tuesday night through Wednesday evening for all of Northern Indiana including Marshall County.

THREAT:  5-8 inches of heavy snow possible.  Strong winds will cause blowing and drifting issues, especially in open areas.

IMPACTS:  Roads will become snow-covered, slick, and hazardous.  Blowing snow will reduce visibility.  Drifting issues may make it difficult if not impossible to drive down certain roads.

PREPAREDNESS ACTION:  Check your vehicle emergency kit inventory (scraper, shovel, kitty litter, cellphone charger, extra winter weather gear, blanket, flashlight, water, non-perishable snacks, tow strap, or chain).  Be sure to keep your gas tank at least half full. Give yourself plenty of extra time to reach your destination.  Increase your following distance and reduce your speed.
