PLYMOUTH- Seldon “Sid” Rowe Sr., 79, has gone to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior whom he loved with all his heart.
He was born on November 16, 1943, in Tip Top, Kentucky to Homer and Famie (Carpenter) Rowe. He served in the Army National Guard.
He married Marilyn S. Ketcham Keller on July 3, 1989, in Plymouth.
He worked for McCord’s for 13 years then retired from Van Vactor’s Excavating. Seldon also did a lot of tree trimming on the side.
Seldon was blunt and straight forward and loved to talk about the Lord. He enjoyed working on lawn equipment and playing his guitar. Marilyn and he used to minister at Miller’s Merry Manor and Neidlinger Garden Court in Plymouth.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marilyn, and his children: Seldon Rowe Jr., of Winamac, Marshal Rowe of Plymouth, Famie (David) Warner of Walkerton, Amy Hopkins of Culver and Donna Keller of Argos; 10 grandchildren: Heather Rogers, Julie Rogers, Amber Hopkins, Robert Warren, Alissa Warner, Jeffrey Warner, Josh Hopper, Amanda Hall, Aaron Rowe and Amber Rowe: 30, soon to be 31, great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings: Linda Smalley, Timothy Rowe and Alan Rowe as well as many nieces and nephews.
Seldon was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Jess Mullins, Max Mullins, Mattie Gibson, Alberta Fletcher, Velva Louis, Helen Bitterling and Melovie Rudd; and former spouse, Ruth Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 11-1 p.m. at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mark Fishsburn officiating.
Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
