A GoFundMe account has been created to assist with the funeral and memorial of 16-year-old Maleek Steele who was killed Monday evening, December 12th at the intersection of Oak Drive and PIDCO Lane.  The goal has been set at $6,000.

In the description it states:

“I’m CoCo Rosales and I am a junior at Plymouth High School. I was not super close with Maleek, but I would see him every day, smiling, and that smile always made me smile. He was one of the most genuine, nicest people a person could talk to, and it hurts me that we don’t get a chance to talk or see him again. He had so much to live for, so it is important we remember him every day and do our best for him. It’s also important we are here for each other, and we support and love one another during this hard time. Your donations are very much appreciated and will be covering the costs of his celebration of life at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home. Thank you and please repost/spread the word so we can help!”

The funeral service for Maleek will be held on Tuesday, December 27th at 7 p.m. at the Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth.
