On November 5th, 2022 Gina France Mear Weigand, died at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth, at the age of 91. Gina is survived by her children, Scott & Rebecca Mear, Jennifer McCarthy ,Michael & Lisa Mear Gina was preceded in death by her oldest son, Marc Mear. Gina was born on March 6, 1931, in Kankakee, IL. Gina spent many years as the vocalist for Chuck Gruger & the Downbeats ,traveling to Chicago by train to perform . As she started her family of 4 children, Gina attended a Design school and began her career as a successful, Interior Designer. She learned to play bridge and enjoyed playing, well into her 80’s. She moved to Plymouth 23 yrs ago and met her best friend and companion Bob. The two traveled together and played bridge with 3 bridge clubs weekly. One of her favorite things to enjoy was spending time with the Drunk bunch, her closest friends. They would go to dinner or play cards. That was a group she loved and a name they all laughed at. Gina chose Cremation , there will be no memorial service or funeral. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Center for Hospice.
