Kenneth H. Lukenbill, 79, passed away on August 25, 2022 after an extended illness. His strong faith in Jesus Christ sustained him to the end. He was born on December 11, 1942 in Indianapolis to Kenneth H. and Helen (McCollum) Lukenbill.
Ken graduated from North Central High School, Indiana University, and IU School of Law Indianapolis. He came to Plymouth in 1972 and considered Plymouth his home since then. For over 50 years, he practiced law, beginning with the Indiana Attorney General’s office, then with Stevens, Travis, Fortin, and Lukenbill. However, Ken’s greatest joy was practicing law with his son, Adam, at Lukenbill & Lukenbill for the past 12 years.
His was a life well-lived, through service to his clients in his years as an attorney; serving the citizens of Plymouth as a City Councilman for 20 years; serving his community through his work and leadership in the Plymouth Lions Club and various other civic organizations; and most importantly, serving Jesus Christ in his daily living. Ken was a true gentleman and was an example of God’s love on earth. His kindness, encouragement, and integrity will be a lasting legacy for his family and many friends.
Ken is survived by his wife Penny; son Adam and his wife Sarah; and treasured grandchildren, Lucy, Genevieve, and Thomas. He was the “wind beneath our wings.”

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 4-8PM at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 12PM at the First United Church of Christ, 321 N. Center Street, Plymouth with visitation resuming one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. Steve Mullin and Rev. Charles Krieg will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Ken requested that memorial contributions be made to the Marshall County Humane Society, PO Box 22, Plymouth, IN 46563 or to the Plymouth Lions Club, PO Box 186, Plymouth, IN 46563.
