Peru powers past Plymouth
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth hosted a strong, District-Ranked Peru team on Tuesday night in Centennial Park, falling by the final score of 4-1.
The one doubles team of Matt Manzuk-Easton Strain provided the lone point for the Pilgrims, winning their match in straight sets over a solid Peru doubles duo. Number one singles Carter Snyder battled 2021 All-District performer Ian Potts. After losing the first set, Carter played strong tennis to take a 4-3 second set lead, before ultimately falling 6-4.
The JV Pilgrims suffered their first loss of the season, 5-4.
Doubles winners for the Pilgrims tonight were Trey Delp-Ryan Gadziola, Alex Kizer-Jacob Payne, Brice Hoover-Hayden Feldman, and Nick Manzuk-Owen Walleske.
Plymouth will travel to Leeper Park in South Bend on Thursday night, 8/25/22, to take on #22 State-Ranked South Bend St. Joe for (approximately) a 5:30 p.m. start.
