PLYMOUTH – The Plymouth High School girls swim team had an impressive showing on Thursday and Saturday at the Northern Lakes Conference Championships.
They moved up an additional spot in the standings from the regular season finishing in 5th by beating Goshen, Mishawaka, and NorthWood.
In 2021 the girls scored 141 points and they made the improvement scoring 182 points on Saturday.
Top relay finishers for Plymouth were in the 200 medley with Lucy Keirn, Summer South, Marley Houin, and Aumrie Weiss accomplished one of their season goals of breaking 2:00.00 by swimming a 1:59.00 and finishing in 4th place.
In the 400 free relay, the same four swam a best time of 4:02.19.
The 200 freestyle relay of Maddy Thangam, Claire Lewandowski, Alexis Doll, Kyleigh Kara finished in 6th place with the best time of 1:54.96

The individual top eight finals were led by Lucy Keirn who took the top individual finish for Plymouth, earning 6th place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.79. Aumrie Weiss also landed a spot in the Finals, finishing 7th with a time of 26.13. Marley Houin rounded out the finals appearances, swimming the 100 Fly in a season-best time of 1:07.81 for an 8th place finish.
