Lincoln eighth
VALPARAISO – Lincoln’s eighth grade boys played in the Ben Franklin tournament on Saturday splitting decisions.
In game one the Red Storm fell to Grimmer 45-30.
Leading Lincoln in defeat were Finn Holm with six points and Wylie Knapp with five points. Nick Manzuk, Andres Medrano and Brady Coffin each chipped in four points.
In the second game, Lincoln played Rensselaer to a 51-32 win.
Leading Lincoln in the win were Andres Medrano with twelve points and Parker Wolfe with eleven points. Parker Bagley added nine points and Ethan O’Leary added eight points. Nick Manzuk and Brady Coffin chipped in five and four points respectively.
Lincoln seventh second at Ben Franklin
VALPARAISO – Lincoln Jr. High’s seventh grade basketball team finished runner up at the Ben Franklin Tournament on Saturday.
In game one with Grimmer the Red Storm came away with a 29-26 win.
Aiden Sampson led the way with 9 points. Ben Shively, Bryce Busse, and Isaak Hutchinson each had 6points.
In the championship game, Lincoln would take on Ben Franklin and took a 51-28 loss.
Ben Shively led the way with 14 points. Aiden Sampson and Davis Jones each had 5 points. Isaak Hutchinson had 4.
