BREMEN – Bremen sophomore, Kaia Podlin, a Marshall County resident and Bremen High School student, was named a 2020-21 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
She is one of 41 total high school Hoosiers to make the list. To be eligible for this honor, the swimmer must: Achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better for the 2020-21 school year, swim a 2019 winter junior qualifying time in any individual event between Sept. 1, 2020 and Aug. 31, 2021.
Kaia swims for Irish Aquatics Swim Club as well as BHS. During her freshman year, Kaia maintained a 4.0 GPA and broke several team and pool records at BHS. She also represented the Lions at the Indiana High School State Swim meet where she was a finalist in both the 100 Breaststroke and 100 Butterfly.
