Ancilla APAC Austism

The first Ancilla College APAC 5K was held on Saturday, April 10 and for a first-time event, was counted as successful! Almost 90 runners and walkers participated in the 5K timed run or walk through the grounds of The Center at Donaldson, home to Ancilla College. A little bit of rain didn’t dissuade those who showed up to challenge themselves on the multi-terrain course, and by the end of the event, the sun even came out for a little while.

Proceeds from the event will support scholarships for students in the Autism Program at Ancilla College. Thanks to our sponsors: Hoosier Crane, Autumn Trace-Plymouth, Chubbs Steel Sales, Joseph & Susan Czolgosz, Griffin Trailers, Marilyn & Curt Coby, and Coffee Lodge and Bakery.

Winners received hand-crafted trophies shaped as puzzle pieces, the symbol of autism, which were created at MoonTree Studios with help from students in the APAC program. The top three finishers were Nathan Samuels, Jonathan Wiggins, and Matthew Urbina.

Ancilla thanks all of the participants and donors who helped make this event such a success for our students! We hope you will come back and join us in 2022!
