Bourbon-downtownThe Bourbon Town Council conducted a special meeting Monday morning to declare a Public Health Disaster Emergency.

Board members Ward Byers and Les McFarland voted to enact the emergency declaration effective beginning at 12:01 P.M. on November 16th.  This order expires 7 days following enactment unless extended by the Bourbon Town Board.

The Emergency Declaration says anyone renting one of the town’s facilities must limit the size of the gathering to coincide with the color designated for Marshall County.  Currently we are ORANGE with a limit of 50 individuals gathered together.  If we move to RED that number is limited to 25.  Any event going over the limit is required to have a plan approved by the Marshall County Health Department.

Bourbon Town employees and volunteers are encouraged to do a daily self-assessment of their health and report any illness to their supervisor immediately.  If an employee exhibits any COVID-19 symptoms while on the job, they should leave work immediately.

Citizens of Bourbon are called upon and directed to comply with necessary emergency measures, to cooperate with public officials and disaster service forces in executing emergency operation plans, and to obey and comply with the lawful direction of properly identified officers.
