County BuildingThe Marshall County Council will meet Monday morning at 9 in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.

The agenda has a number of items including the quarterly report from the County Museum from Executive Director Linda Rippy.  Sheriff Matt Hassel will present an amendment to the 2019 January thru June Commissary Report and he will review the July thru December Commissary Report.  Also on the agenda is the 2020 Commissary Budget, a request for a probationary pay waiver and requests to apply for two grants, the Marine Patrol Assistance grant and the SAVE (Stop Arm Violation Enforcement) grant.

County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will present an update on the 2018 Flood damages.  He will then ask to use the remaining $600,000 plus left over from the $1.5 million emergency appropriation in 2018 to repair several bridges.

Ann Anglin, the new Human Resources Administrator will present the County Council with job descriptions and they will also consider additional appropriation and transfer requests.

The County Council also has on the agenda the final reading of the Jail Project General Obligation Bond, which the commissioners asked them to wait on, an ordinance for additional appropriation and an appointment to the Convention & Visitors Bureau board.

The County Council meeting is open to the public although comments and questions are limited to the first order of business.
