DUSTIN’S PLACE is a new center that is scheduled to open in Plymouth in January. Dustin’s Place is a grief center named after Dustin Cullen who died in a tragic car crash in August of 2016. Dustin left behind three small children and a wife.
Dustin’s Place, is a nonprofit with a mission to provide support in a safe place where grieving children, teens and their families can find connection and healing through sharing their experience of the death of a loved one.
Founder Viki Brown knows firsthand the impact a death can have on younger children. Statistics show that 1 in 12 kids will experience the death of a parent or sibling. Brown said, “That kind of trauma can derail the development of a child.” Dustin’s Place will offer FREE grief counseling that’s age appropriate in b-weekly meetings.
