K of C- saleThe Knight of Columbus was granted approval from the Plymouth Plan Commission to re-plat their property at 901 Columbus Drive.

During last week’s meeting, Plan Director Ralph Booker said they simply want to create two separate lots, one where their building sits and one that fronts on East Jefferson Street, next to the Community Full Gospel Church.

During the public hearing, Rev. Jerry Gibson said they purchased the building 27 years ago and have made improvements to increase the natural light in the building.  He was concerned of what would be built next door.  The pastor said he was assured that no one would build further than the front of his building so the church wouldn’t be obstructed from the view of Columbus Drive.

While the lot size is 119 feet wide and 354 feet long.  The property is at the corner of Columbus Drive and East Jefferson Street so it will have two front yards which require a 30 foot front yard setback.

The Plymouth Plan Commission is made up of 11 members but only 6 attended the meeting so everyone had to vote the same way to pass a request.  The commission approved the replat with all members voting in favor.
