Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter, Park Superintendent Mike Hite and the Plymouth Park Board have invited the public to a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday in River Park Square.

Stone Ridge Construction was the contractor for the launch that is ADA compliant with a paved walkway from the parking lot in River Park Square in downtown Plymouth to the water.

The launch was partially funded through an $11,000 matching grant from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority.  The community’s match involved 141 patrons who donated $16,510.

Mayor Senter said, “This is another enhancement to the Plymouth Park Department that the public will be able to enjoy for years to come.”

As a celebration for the opening of the launch the Plymouth Park Department is urging the public to join them Friday, September 27th for a community float from the access point in Centennial Park behind the big hill, to the newest amenity, The Launch, at River Park Square!    The plan is to leave from the big hill at 6 p.m.  with hopes of arriving at River Park Square by the start of the End of Summer Bash Concert hosted by the City of Plymouth sponsored by Fernbaugh’s Diamonds and Jewelry and Opie’s Deli!

Prior to the start of the concert the group of donors from the campaign will be recognize.  The stick around for MGB from 7-10pm!
