County news # 2Jason Peters, Marshall County Highway Superintendent told the commissioners on Monday he received the September distribution from the state.

In 2018 they received $360,450.29 in Motor Vehicle Highway while this year we received $372,598.57 an increase this month of $12,148.28.  Peters said in 2018 the county received $82,707.46 in Local Roads & Streets while this month he received $71,409.59 which is a decrease of $11,211.87.

Peters went on to clarify saying, “From September 2018 to September 2019 the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund is down $381,698 while the Local Roads & Street Fund is down $23,367.85.  For the year we are down $404,982.83.”
