Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is hosting a FREE Pasture Walk and Cover Crops Workshop from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (Eastern) on Thursday, August 29th at the Burkholder farm, 401 2B Road in Nappanee.
Susannah Hinds, Natural Resources Conservation Services Grazing Specialist, will be leading the pasture walk, Marcel Zimmer, Purdue University Weed Science Specialist and Bob Yoder from Marshall County Purdue University Extension office will cover herbicide treatments, and Christine Stinson from the Marshall County Health Department will discuss Septics and Wells 101.
PARP credits are available for $10.00 and they will have bottles for free arsenic testing. A refundable deposit is required. Lunch is provided.
