severe-weather-threatThe National Weather Service has included the majority of Marshall County in the “Slight Risk” category for severe storms for Thursday night into early Friday morning (approximate timing is 8pm – 2am).  Damaging winds and frequent lighting appear to be the biggest threats that will be associated with this storm.

Impacts include: strong winds that can cause damage to trees, leading to the possibility of trees falling across roads, downed power lines which could lead to power outages, and trees into homes.

Marshall County Emergency Management Director Clyde Avery said, “I will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they are made available.”
