school-board-meeting1The Plymouth School Board will convene for a regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 P.M. The board usually meets on the first Tuesday of each month; however, the April meeting was moved to the second week due to the school’s spring break.

Among other items, the board will consider a lease renewal agreement with Apple for student and staff technology devices. They will also consider granting permission to advertise for sealed bids for used computers. If granted, the computers could be sold in two lots of 3,000 used MacBookAir and 650 used iPadAir devices. Bids would only be accepted until May 15, 2019 if the board votes to approve.

They will also be considering permission to advertise for sealed bids for a 1983 semi-tractor trailer. Bids would be taken until April 30, 2019 if approved.

The meal prices for students could be increased slightly with Plymouth School Board approval Tuesday evening. Currently the price of breakfast is $1.20 and .30 for those qualifying for reduced meals. The cost could increase to $1.25.

Lunch prices could go from $1.95 to $2.05 for grades K-6 and from $2.05 to $2.15 for students in grades 7-12. The reduced charge is .40. Milk would increase from .30 to .35, if approved.

There are several ala carte options available in addition to the meals as indicated above.

The board meetings are open to the public; however, comments from the audience are limited to agenda items only. There are two designated times in the total agenda for the board to receive audience comments.
