Marshall County Commissioner Mike Delp brought forward at last Monday’s commissioner meeting that the City of Plymouth will be doing street projects on both Madison and Walnut Streets around the Court House later this month.
He had concerns with employee parking and suggested talking with Walsh and Kelly to see what it might cost to re-pave the entrance to the parking lot at the same time. Delp suggested notifying employees of the inconvenience. It was also noted that absentee voting will be happening in the Court House and the paving will cause disruption to parking in the area.
City Engineer Rick Gaul said the City contracted with Walsh and Kelly to improve sidewalk curbs with ADA compliant crossings and re-paving the streets. They are scheduled to begin work on April 15th on North Walnut Street between Jefferson and West Monroe Street and on Wednesday, April 17th on West Madison Street between North Plum and North Center Streets.
