School ReferendumWhile there hasn’t been much information put out on voting on the Plymouth Community School Referendum in the May 7th Primary, WTCA confirmed today that any person living in the Plymouth School district may cast a vote, for or against the referendum BUT you must be a registered voter.

You can register to vote in-person, by mail and online.  To vote online visit http://www.indianavoters.com/.  Indiana residents with a valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana state-issued identification card will be able to use this tool to submit a new voter registration application or to update an existing voter registration record.

To register to vote or update your current registration by mail or in person, you will need to complete and return the Voter Registration Form on or before April 8th before the 2018 Primary Election.  Stop by the Marshall County Clerk’s Office in the Court House or mail the form to the Clerk’s Office at 211 West Madison Street. For additional information call the clerk’s office at 574-935-8713.

If you aren’t sure if you live in the Plymouth Community School Corporation boundaries, here they are:  Hickory Road to the east, on the north side it’s 7th Road on the west side of Michigan Road and 6th Road on the east side of Michigan Road.  The west boundary line is the county line and on the south it is 14th Road.

The PCSC referendum that will be on the ballot is seeking up to $.19 per $100 of assessed valuation for 8 years.  Funds raised would be used for student safety initiatives, mental health support and programs and to attract and retain teachers.
